A Welcome from Mrs Glenda Philpott, Director of Nursery, EYFS and KS1

Welcome to Alkerden Church of England Academy Nursery. We are delighted that you are considering joining our nursery family and are excited to begin this special journey with you and your child.

We know that starting nursery is a significant milestone for every child and their family. It is the beginning of a wonderful adventure filled with new friendships, exciting discoveries and opportunities to grow in confidence, independence and curiosity. Our priority is to ensure that every child feels happy, safe, loved and valued from their very first day.

At Alkerden, our youngest learners are at the heart of everything we do. Through a nurturing, play-based and carefully planned curriculum, we create rich learning experiences that inspire children to explore, imagine and develop a lifelong love of learning. We celebrate every child's individuality, recognising their unique strengths and interests while supporting them to take their next steps with confidence.

Rooted in our Christian vision of Hope and Inclusion, we are proud to be a caring and welcoming community where every child is known, understood and encouraged to flourish. We believe that children thrive when they feel secure, respected and inspired, and we work hard to build strong, trusting relationships that help them develop a positive sense of self and a genuine love of learning.

As part of our all-through educational community, we are uniquely placed to support children from the age of three through to eighteen. This continuity allows us to truly understand each child's journey and provides families with the reassurance that their child can continue to learn and grow within one supportive community as they progress through their education.
