Funding and Support

We are pleased to announce that eligible working parents can now access the 30 Hours Funded Childcare Entitlement at Alkerden Church of England Academy Nursery.

The 30-hour entitlement provides up to 30 hours of funded early education and childcare each week (up to 1,140 hours per year) for eligible 3 and 4-year-olds. The funding combines the universal 15 hours available to all children with an additional 15 hours for eligible working families.

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible if:

  • Your child is aged 3 or 4.

  • You (and your partner, if applicable) meet the Government's working and income eligibility criteria.

  • You have successfully applied for and received a valid 30-hour eligibility code from HMRC before the relevant application deadline.

How to apply

Parents must apply online through the Government Childcare Service. If your application is successful, you will receive an 11-digit eligibility code.

To ensure your child can access their funded place at the start of a new term, applications must be completed by the Government deadlines:

  • 31st August for a September start
  • 31st December for a January start
  • 31 March for an Easter/Summer Term start

You will also need to reconfirm your eligibility every three months through your childcare account to continue receiving the funding.

What you need to do

Once you have received your eligibility code, please provide the following to the school as soon as possible:

  • Your child's full name and date of birth.
  • Your 11-digit eligibility code.
  • Your National Insurance number (or National Asylum Support Service number where applicable).

This information allows us to verify your eligibility and claim the funding on your behalf.

Alkerden Church of England Academy Nursery offers the maximum 30 hours entitlement: 9am-3pm 5 days.
