Our Primary Phase
Alkerden C of E Academy will be a 2-form entry comprehensive primary phase in Ebbsfleet Garden City.
The initial cohort will be restricted to 30 pupils in year R and year 1. In future years, expected by 2028, this will increase to 60 students.
A welcome from our Director of EYFS and KS1
At Alkerden Primary Phase, our learners are at the heart of everything we do. Through an aspirational and engaging curriculum, we create rich opportunities that inspire curiosity, nurture confidence and support every child to flourish. We are committed to developing happy, safe, and valued learners who grow in independence and are ready to take their next steps with hope and belief in themselves.
As part of an all-through educational community, we have a unique opportunity to support and develop our learners from the age of three through to eighteen. This continuity allows us to truly know and understand each learner’s journey, ensuring they feel secure, supported, and inspired at every stage of their education.
Rooted in our Christian vision of hope and inclusion, we foster a caring and supportive community where every learner is known, understood, and celebrated as an individual. We believe that children thrive when they feel safe and encouraged. Our learners are guided to develop a strong sense of self, learning to communicate with confidence and kindness, while showing respect and understanding towards others and the wider world. Strong relationships are at the centre of our school community. We work in close partnership with parents and carers to provide the very best care and support for our learners.
Through carefully planned opportunities, our learners are encouraged to think deeply, explore creatively, and work collaboratively. We nurture inquisitive minds and open hearts, supporting our learners to become thoughtful, reflective, and resilient individuals who are ready to make a positive difference. Our curriculum is designed to broaden experiences and raise aspirations in a way that is meaningful and accessible for every learner. We place equal importance on personal development and academic success, ensuring our learners grow not only in knowledge, but also in character.
The strength of our all-through provision ensures a seamless transition into the secondary phase. Our learners benefit from access to specialist expertise and exceptional facilities from an early age, enriching their experiences and raising aspirations, and enabling every learner to move forward with confidence and readiness for the future.
